Is 2025 actually a new beginning for you?

Is 2025 actually a new beginning for you?

2025 is here. Feels like just another day to most of us - but what you dont realize is you made it! It's a milestone, albeit a very casual one. I've heard from many other people that their 2024 was utter garbage, and that's perfectly ok! Maybe you made some bad decisions, or wish you had done things differently, and that's ultimately what made your 2024 appear bad. What's most important is that those negative events are in the past, and even better, you likely learned from them. I know I did. I've had my share of failures, falling outs, and a whole lot of depression and anxiety.

What 2024 taught me was how to be even more resilient. My last venture went up in smoke, and I felt completely useless and wondered what my purpose was. I started to realize that I wanted to do something that brings value. I want to make a difference. Everything takes time though. First things first, I need to start putting myself out there more. I'm quite the quirky introvert, but I thrive in one on one discussions.

So my goal for 2025 is to continue pushing myself as a creative and entrepreneur, putting myself out there, setting quarterly/obtainable goals, and tracking my progress each day. And of course there's the obligatory, I need to get my fat ass to the gym goal. Working on physical health is already such an uphill battle, but working on mental health - now that's a war that takes patience, understanding, and the strongest of wills.

For those of you who may be wondering if the person writing this is the girl in the photo, that is my good friend Sharon. Sharon and I will actually be starting a podcast very soon! We will be discussing all things mental health, mindset, and more! We decided this would be the best way to grow a community with those having had or going through their own mental struggles. Perhaps our experiences as well as those of our guests that we plan to bring on will help inspire, or change the way our viewers see themselves or the situations they're in. So stay tuned for that.

For now, I wish you all the best that 2025 has to offer!

- Jay
